How to Book Your Wedding Photographer

First things first, congratulations! This is such an exciting time for you and your fiance. Planning your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime experience but it can be a little daunting too. There’s so many decisions to make in such a short period of time! I’m here to help. I want all of my brides to have a stress-free experience especially when it comes to photography.

Your photographs are the ONLY piece of the day you can take with you which is why choosing the right photographer is so important. Not only do you want beautiful, canvas-worthy images to hang in your home, you also want a photographer who gets you.

Below is the step-by-step process of how to book me for your wedding day. Keep reading to find out more of what to expect before, during and after your wedding!

3-STEP BOOKING PROCESS:

1. Inquire using my CONTACT FORM to find out if your date is still available.

2. Choose the collection you’d like to book (I have four very popular collections to choose from).

3. Sign the contract I send you online and pay your non-refundable retainer fee at the same time!

That’s it! It’s that simple! Read on for more details and answers to frequently asked questions.

BEFORE THE WEDDING

  • Inquire Using My CONTACT FORM or email me directly. Let me know any initial questions you  have. I book 70% of my weddings online so I frequently provide all information you need via email but WHENEVER possible,  I love to set up a time where we can grab coffee or meet via Skype so we can get to know each other. We’ll talk details, look at wedding albums, answer questions and go over my contract.  It’s SO important to get to know the person who will be with you the entire day on one of the most important days of your life!
  • ALL Collections Include Your Images: I deliver your images in a beautiful downloadable gallery. Images are professionally edited in the style you see in my portfolio. All of my collections also come with print credit which you can use to order prints or canvases right through your gallery.
  • Book Your Date: I require a signed contract and a $500 non-refundable retainer fee to book your date. That’s it! It’s very straight forward. The rest of your balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding day and you can make as many payments as you need between now and then:) Credit card or check payments are accepted. I can email you a contract and invoice to pay online.
  • Engagement Session: If you opt for an engagement session, great! That’s one more chance we have to get to know each other before the big day and helps you both feel comfortable in front of my camera, especially the guys ;) You’ll get to see how I instruct all of my clients to interact and pose. This helps you both feel that much more at ease on the day-of when emotions and nerves are already running high.
  • 30 Days Before Your Wedding: About 30 days before your wedding, I will send you a questionnaire. It’s super simple and takes about 5 minutes to fill out but it is SO important for me to know the details of your day, i.e.. Are you doing a first look? How many family groupings do we need time for? Would you like photos at sunset? (my FAV). Then we finalize a timeline for photos based off of your answers. We will both be on the same page with the flow of your day and you’ll be able to tell me any special requests you have.

YOUR WEDDING DAY

  • It’s Your Day: Eight hours is typical full-day coverage for a wedding. With this, I capture your getting-ready moments with your bridesmaids and mother, details and candids all the way through your ceremony and into the dancing during your reception. It’s your day! It’s important that you enjoy every minute of it because it only happens once! My goal is to capture all of those beautiful moments without making the entire day about the photos; the day is about you and your best friend committing to do life together!

AFTER THE WEDDING

  • Sneak Peeks: Waiting to see your images is the worst! I know! This is why I post a few sneak peeks on Facebook and Instagram within 1-2 days after your wedding. Then, about 2-3 weeks after your day I typically put together a blog post that tells the story of your day from an editorial perspective. These are my favorite images from your day and many of them will also be on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Image Delivery: I will deliver  your images within 5 weeks of your wedding in a beautiful online gallery . You’ll be sent a link and a pin number to download full-resolution images. You can share the images on social media and easily share your gallery with your family and friends. My clients love it and so do I!
  • Wedding Albums: If you ordered a fine art wedding album, you will use your gallery to choose your favorite images that you want me to include. If you have a hard time choosing, I’m happy to design the album with my favorites and give you the opportunity to proof and make changes before it is printed.
